Birthday Lunch

Whilst I have widened my taste across other cuisines my Italian choices are usually very British indeed. I felt very daring when I went to Sardo (http://www.sardo-restaurant.com/) and didn’t have pasta or pizza at all!

I had:

Calamari ripieni
Grilled baby squid filled with a mixture of calamari meat and aromatic
herbs served in a fresh tomato sauce with broad beans and olives

Then:

Nodino di vitello alle erbe
Grilled veal steak coated in a fine layer of fresh herbs and spices
served with fresh spinach and potatoes

The squid was incredible, but dad won main course with his lamb choice.
